About Nomads

Since 1960, Nomads has been using the common ground presented to us in golf to encourage and foster the development of life-long friendships, foster involvement in the promotion of the game we love so much, as well as uplift the lives of those less fortunate within our own communities.

More about Nomads

The development of the game in South Africa is one of Nomads’ basic objectives and our input into this area has steadily increased over the years. Nomads is held in high esteem by the main amateur bodies in South Africa, being GolfRSA (the unified body of the South African Golf Association and Womens Golf South Africa), the South African Disabled Golf Association and the South African Golf Development Board.

The Nomads badge and logo, a bell crossed by a golf club, reflect the philosophy expressed in the famous extracts from the Meditations of John Donne (1573-1631): “No man is an island entire of itself; Every man is a piece of the continent, a part of the main; Any man’s death diminishes me, because I am involved in mankind; And therefore, never send to know for whom the bell tolls; It tolls for thee.”
